Biography

I am currently Professor in the IICT institute of the Information and Communication Department of HEIG-VD, the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland at Yverdon-les-Bains. I hold a PhD in Computer Science from EPFL (2003), and a Master in Computer Science from Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble-France (1998). I am teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses, such as, database and information systems, information retrieval techniques, compiler construction, personal presentation, and business intelligence. During the last years, I have also been working on academic and industrial projects involving database and information systems, data analysis and text and multimedia information retrieval.
